A pronunciation guide is also included. So you’ll have no trouble saying the Spanish names correctly!
There is also a teaching script and a set of instructions for use inside.
The English and Spanish vocabulary cards are designed to be printed two-sided.
So, if you want to practice memorizing the names in each language, you can read the Spanish names on one side of the cards and then English names on the other.
This set of Spanish language solar system learning cards includes names for all eight planets.
Pluto is also included, if you want to talk about it as a dwarf planet. And there are cards for the sun, moon, and the word “star” as well.
Use the pronunciation guide to introduce each planet or star to students and have them repeat the names after you.
If you like, you can print the blackline version of the cards and let students color them before using them in the lesson.
Once the class has mastered the names of each body, try the labeling activity. Students can match up the printed labels with the right cards at centers.
Or – you can laminate the included blank labels and let kids write the names for themselves with dry erase markers.
Print the vocabulary cards two-sided and place them on a ring at early science centers.
Students can challenge themselves to remember the names in either language and then check their own answers!
